Just before Christmas I told you of an electrical problem, that appeared to be more common than I had imagined. The down lighters in the kitchen kept blowing. . We have had other electricians in to look at the problem. Some of them replaced the transformers and charged us a small fortune, others simply replaced the melted wires, which melted again, but none of them cured the problem. As soon as you arrived you had the problem solved and then spent the rest of the time making repairs and advising us on the bulbs. Your service was prompt, professional and at a very keen rate. I am writing to thank you for sorting out my kitchen downlighter just before Christmas. You were kind enough to say my situation was a common one. Wrong halogen bulb installed where the heat is not projected forward, but back into the fitting which eventually melts the wires. Sounds like this could only happen to an idiot – who had done this in my house? Ah, wait a minute… At short notice you managed to come over just days before Christmas and bail me out. As is the norm in my current house things are never straightforward and the transformer had non-standard connectors which needed you to perform some wiring-magic that I almost understand enough about to be impressed by. Lesser electricians (like the one who installed the lights) would have scratched their heads and probably wanted to replace all the light fittings. Thank you for your help and professionalism. Over the years I have had many ‘tradesmen’ enter my home to do work. Some good and some bad! We had used Westgate Electrical for a couple of small jobs when we moved to Beaconsfield, and we recently employed them for some major electrical works and changes to our home.
